This is a 6-string bass guitar, which can be tuned either as a guitar but an octave lower or it can be tuned in 4ths, exactly as a 6 string bass.
Therefore, there is no learning required by either guitar or bass players when playing this instrument. It provides instant recognition and accomplishment to the player.
Two different Zachary Optimized Gauges (ZOG) string sets are available depending on tuning preference (guitar or bass).
This instrument will NOT work without my proprietary ZOG string sets. No bass has ever worked on such a short scale, until now because its a Zachary design.The GuitBass, invented by myself, the builder, is a fully functioning bass guitar which is as small and short and weighs the same as regular electric guitar. No more long neck traditional basses needed. The GuitBass can be used equally by any guitar player or bass player. The possibilities are endless.

Its the first time I angled the neck pickup by also making the end of the neck and fingerboard angled. Its also the first time I used full size (1/4") metal fingerboard position dots to match the side dots. It also has my recently developed Spiked Neck Joint neck tilt system, for unmatched sustain, tone and stability.I built this for myself but if the right individual comes along who appreciates it as well as I do and has the ability to use it, I will sell it.
