Value for Money

Hehehehe.... It's sitting next to me right now. I love the hand ingraving like my Z pedal. The "hand made" thing. I can't play it untill I get some speaker cabel the next few doays, but this thing is a work of art in the simplicity of form. A real head turner. It looks faaaar more expensive that it is. Value for money in it's purest form. Fuck I can't wait to play it!!!

By the way Alex, it arrived safe and in one piece in the carry bag. The carrybag is a brilliant idea and works well. I hope you are tooled up to make heaps of these, cause for the ridiculously low price you should be getting BIG orders in no time. What the fuck do you get for $600.00 at any store ampwise?? Go to any musik store and ask for a new hand made butique amp to suit your playing and tell them you only have $600.00 to spend and see what reaction you get. Well done Alex, I will say more about it once I actually play it. Cheers to you all, Orlando.

The Skank is Unbeatable for Home Recording

Alex, I really like the audio quality. I'm sure the high gain channel of the Skank is great but it might take me a while to get past the clean channel as it really suits my playing and the tone is just outstanding - very smooth, clear, and warm. What you are hearing here is Z2T with 4 month old ZOG's to Wah pedal (on some tracks), then straight to the Skank clean channel through a Black Shadow speaker. Gotta love the sound of the Z2 chords - the sustain and clarity is incredible. I think it's safe to say the Skank is unbeatable for home recording. Mark

It was one of those things where the sound you are getting is dictating what you play. It's not like I had written a song and was searching for a tone that would suit it. Quite the opposite - the playing was totally spontaneous based on the sounds I was getting..... Btw, although the .wma file is pretty sonically respectable you should hear how original recordings sound coming directly out of my Yamaha monitor speakers - fantastic!!   Mark

The "strummed" chords are as much a testament to the Z2 as the Skank - super nice resonance and sustain. The Skank just brings it out in a very organic way.

Anyway, the Skank is perfect for me. Between the quality of tone and variety of sounds you can easily and quickly dial up - especially at reasonable volume levels - it's unbeatable. I know Alex wants me to spend some more time on the high gain channel, which I will try to do in the fairly near future.... Also, using some pedals for more variety of sounds....... But to me, the clean channel is the foundation of any amp. Anyway, maybe Orlando can weigh in with some high gain samples in the meantime......   Mark

Fucking Little Ripper!!!

Hey Alex, The Skank is a fucking little ripper!!! Tried it on both my amp speakers, flicked every switch, turned all knobs, more of the same with the pedal attached. I fucking love it!! My hearing is still fine, I haven't got the constant letter "E" ringing through. Ted, you MUST have one! I need a reverb pedal baaaad though. I want a reverb and delay. Let me know how much + shipping. Also, a price on the speakers, both Celestion and Eminence, which you think are most suited. Talk more later, must go back and play... Cheers to you all, Orlando
